LAHORE, May 16 Karachi Afroze Seniors will take on former champion Lahore Whites in the final of 11th National Seniors Cricket Cup 2009 on May 17 at Karachi's National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Sports Complex.

The winner will get Rs150,000 while the runners-up will pocket Rs75,000. The Man of the Final will earn Rs5000.

Ashiq Hussain Qureshi will lead Lahore Whites who won the North Zone phase for six consecutive years — from 2001 to 2007. Other players are Ghaffar Kazmi, Naveed Anjum, Ameer Akbar, Aleem Dar, Tariq Siddiqui, Manzoor Elahi, Arshad Rafi, Ashraf Ali, Tariq Rasheed, Mohammad Riaz, Imtiaz Shah, Dastagir Butt and Anjum Adnan.

Afroze will also be looking to clinch the title for the first time with Sajid Ali, Shujaat Ali, Saeed Azad, Imtiaz Safdar, Fayyaz Ahmed, Rizwan Ghazi , Fareeduddin, Mujahid Ali, Shakeel Sajjad, Zafar Ali, Nadeem Sheikh, Irfanullah, Yahya Toor and Iftikhar in their line-up.

The final will be supervised by match referee Naeem Ahmed and officiated by umpires Riazuddin and Saleem Badar. —APP
