Nomi scores hat-trick as Navy thrash SSGC

KARACHI Nomi Martin Gill scored a hat-trick in Navy's 6-0 thrashing of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match played at the Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi on Monday.

Nomi's three goals came in the 14th, 60th and 90th minutes while Bilal Ahmed (31st min), Naveed Ahmed (56th min) and Jabbar Hussain (84th min) scored the rest of the goals for Navy.

Earlier, at the same ground Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) and Baloch FC played a 0-0 draw.

In the day's other matches, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) beat Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) 2-1 while Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) also edged past PMC Athletico 2-1.

The PIA-PEL clash was staged at the Model Town Football Academy ground. The goals for PIA were scored by Shakir Lashari (14th min) and Nazeer Ahmed (26th min) while Riaz Ahmed (66th min) reduced the margin for PEL.
At the PMC ground in Faisalabad, Mohammad Moosa (39th min) and Mohammad Rasool (56th min) scored for KESC while Haroon Yousuf (51st min) got the lone goal for PMC Athletico.
