RAJANPUR, April 27: At least 10 armed men of the Bugti tribe on Sunday abducted three Mazaris near Rojhan while the locals blocked the Indus Highway in protest against the kidnapping.

Armed men entered the house of Malick Shafi and kidnapped his brother Muhammad Baksh, nephew Muhammad Shamir and guest Mistri Abdul Shakoor and fled towards Balochistan via Khakhi Road. Later, the area people, including traders, blocked the Indus Highway for two hours.

After receiving information, Rojhan DSP Qayyum Nawaz along with a heavy police contingent rushed to the spot and had the traffic restored.

Rojhan police have registered cases against kidnappers and the protesters for blocking the road.

It may be mentioned that this was the third incident of kidnapping during the week.

Earlier, some 20 outlaws had kidnapped FC Major and three passengers Abdul Hakeem, Gul Muhammad, Hameedullah on the National Highway near Kandh Kot, Jacobabad district. They had also injured Iqbal on resistance.
