LAHORE, May 15 The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced the trial schedule to select the participating teams for the second Super Football League (SFL) 2010, to be held in five cities of the country, namely, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.

The event, to be played from June 12 to Aug 8, at Karachi's Peoples Sports Complex, will have holders Islamabad United, Peshawars Tribe FC, Karachi Energy (named Karachi Bazigar in 2007), Quetta Zorawar and Lahore Lajpaals among the participants in the league phase matches to be followed by the semi-finals and final.

According to PFF Secretary General Lt Col Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, the secretary generals of each province/region, a PFF representative and sponsor will be among the selection committee along with the panel of coaches in all the centres where the three-day trials will begin daily at 300pm.

Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar, will host the trials for Tribes FC from May 18-20 with Nasir Ismail, Gohar Zaman, Najibullah Najmi and Shakoor as the coaches.

The selection process to form Quetta Zorawar will be held at Yazdhan Khan High School, Quetta, from May 20-22 under Akhtar Mohiuddin, Mohammad Dawood, Mohammad Karim and Azizullah. Islamabad FA will host trials for titlist Islamabad United at the PTCL Ground where Sajjad Mahmood, Shaukat Ali, Haji Abdul Sattar and Aslam Khan will note the skills of players from May 21-23.

The Lahore Lajpaals team will be formed at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore, from May 24-26 under the supervision of coaches Shahzad Anwar, Mohammad Habib, Tanveer Ahmed and Asghar Khan Anjum.

The fifth and final trials will be held at Karachi's Peoples Sports Complex from May 27-29 with Hassan Baloch, Zafar Iqbal, Salim Patni and Zahid Taj as the coaches.—APP
