BNM to form new political party

QUETTA, April 22: Central committee of the Balochistan National Movement (BNM) has decided to form a new political party.

The decision was taken at a three-day meeting of the committee, which continued its deliberations till late on Monday night. Party chief Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch was presiding over the meeting.

The new party will be formed after merging the Balochistan National Movement (BNM) with the Balochistan National Democratic Party (BNDP) and will be led by Mir Hasil Khan Bezinjo, according to the decision.

A five-member committee constituted at the meeting will work to form the new political party and establish contacts with the democratic nationalist forces for bringing them close with each other and adopting a joint stand on different national issues.

The Balochistan National Movement central committee expressed concern over political situation of the country and observed that the Legal Framework Order (LFO) and Security Council would be dangerous for the elected parliament.

The meeting demanded abolition of the LFO for the supremacy of elected parliament and other democratic institutions.
