ISLAMABAD, April 21: Chairman Board of Investment (BoI), Waseem Haqqie, while terming the International Conference on Investment and Privatization in OIC countries and Futurz 2003 Exhibition concluded here on Sunday, a success said on Monday,the event has boosted the investors’ confidence at home and abroad.

“The conference has really created an investment fever, particularly at domestic level,” Waseem Haqqie remarked here at a certificate awarding ceremony organized by the E-Commerce Gateway to mark the successful holding of the conference and exhibition.

He further said though there had been hectic efforts for promotion of investment during the past over three years, but this kind of hustle-bustle was not witnessed in the capital for the past few years.

He said the businessmen and investors also had an opportunity to get latest information about various vital institutions like POF, KPT, NHA, LT Engineering, PTDC, DHA, CAA etc.

Haqqie was highly appreciative of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali for taking personal interest in the conference and the exhibition and visiting thrice during the three-day event.—APP
