KARACHI, April 21: Five vessels carrying containers and steel coils are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Owing to slow arrivals, the berthing activity at the wharves remained modest where only three ships, Med Taichung, Dong He to unload and load containers and offload gas oil after the departure of six.

Sailings on the other hand were active as six ships, Torge-S, Mar Challenger, Bunga Masempat, Le Jin, Botany Treasure and Mont Balanc departed, while PONL Singapore, Kota Wangsa, Dong He and Spectrum are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger handling of the liquid tonnage, totalling 75,781 tons comprising 5,927 tons of export cargo and 69,854 tons of import tonnage including 47,336 tons of oils.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Kota Wangsa, Bunga Mastiga, Oriental Bright, CMC Pearl, with containers and New Resolution, with steel coils.
