KARACHI, Dec 6: A match winning 75 by Muniruddin, enabled City Government beat Miandad Colts by nine wickets in the 11th Mohammad Zamir Khan Memorial cricket tournament, played at the Al Mansoora ground.

Miandad Sports scored 140 for seven in their 20 overs through Saqib Ashfaq (47) Iqbal (34), Azeem Baig (22) and Rashid Hussain (20). Sarwat Ali picked up (3-17), M. Ali Zafar (2-20) and Muniruddin (2-12).

City Government in reply cracked up 141 for one in only 18 overs with Muniruddin 75 and Mohammad Ali Zafar still at the wicket when victory came.

In another match, Mansoora Sports beat Samnabad Gymkhana by 56 runs.

Mansoora Sports hit up 170 for nine in 20 overs through Akbar Rehman (65), Anwar Ahmed (45) and Malik Rasheed (34). Farrukh got (2-27) and Farhan (2-21) for the fielding side.

Samnabad Gymkhana in reply were skittled out for 114 runs in 14.5 overs. Asghar Ali scored 41 and Farhan Ali 25. Malik Rasheed (2-10), Akbar Rehman (2-19) and Zain Yahyah (2-23), bowled well for the winners.
