Inter-school sports from Jan 10

KARACHI Dec 6: The Karachi Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Thursday announced to hold eight inter-school tournaments for the boys and five for the girls.

Students of class 1X and X are eligible to compete in the tournaments.

The BSE has appointed conveners for 13 tournaments and the venues of the events.

The Inter-school tournament with Ainuddin as its convener, starting on Jan 10, 2002 at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium , marks the opening of the BSE annual sports competitions.

Other inter-school events to be contested are:

Boys; Football (Convener Moosa Baloch), KMC Football Stadium from Jan 3:

Hockey (Iqbal Ahmed), Habib Public School from Jan 9,

Tennis (Col retd Nisar Ahmed Khan), DHA SKBZ School from Jan 7

Volleyball (Miss Adeeba Kamal), Garden Club, Nazimabad, from Jan 17

Squash (Col retd Nisar Ahmed Khan), DHA SKBZ School from Jan 4

Badmintion (Ashraf Abbas), Sindh Sports Board Complex from Jan 8.

Girls; Table Tennis (Mrs Bilqees Nasir), Badrul Hasan Sports Complex, Nazimabad, from Jan 15

Volleyball (Miss Adeeba Kamal), Habib Girls School from Jan 16

Hockey (Mrs Arfeen Fatima), Customs Club

Badmintion (Mrs Shahnaz Fatima) Badrul Hasan Sports Complex from Jan 21
