JHANG, Dec 6: Two dacoits on Wednesday evening looted Rs250,000 from the office of a medicine company and injured its driver on resistance in Aamir Colony, Jhang Saddar.

An armed dacoit entered the office owned by Sheikh Riaz while his accomplice stood guard outside. Wearing a helmet, the bandit held those present at the office at gunpoint and started scooping cash from the safe. When the dacoit was about to leave the place with the booty, van driver Muhammad Javed tried to get hold of the dacoit. Already on alert, the dacoit fired at him, injuring him seriously. He was shifted to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, in critical condition.

Kotwali police have registered a case and are going into the matter.
