CDA encounter ends in a tie

ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: Rawal Town and Services battled to a an interesting tie in the Chairman CDA cricket championship here at the Shalimar Ground.

Batting first, Services scored 184 in 39.5 overs and then dismissed Rawal Town for exactly the same total in as many overs.

Zulfiqar Ali was the top run-scorer for Services with 74 while Ansar Mahmood took the batting honours for Rawal Town, striking a half century.

Khawar Ayub, Shakir Mahmood and Muhammad Shahzad were Rawal Town’s wicket-getters taking two each while Zeeshan took three for Services.

The match between the two sides will now be replayed on Thursday at Diamond Ground.
