PPP denies report on talks

ISLAMABAD, April 12: The PPP media cell has clarified that the party has received no invitation from President Gen Pervez Musharraf for talks on the LFO issue.

In a press statement issued here on Saturday, the PPP media cell said: “a section of press has reported today (Saturday) that Gen Pervez Musharraf has extended an invitation to Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians to discuss the Legal Framework Order and other related issues.

“PPP Parliamentarians has not been invited for any talks by the government. The report in this regard is incorrect and merely speculative,” the statement concluded.
