MINGORA, Dec 5: The leaders of Sarhad College Teachers Association have expressed concern over shortage of teachers in the area colleges including the post-graduate Jehanzeb College, Swat, and Girls Degree College, Swat. They have demanded of the authorities of the Education Department to appoint teachers on the vacant posts.
According to a statement, the SCTA President, Prof Mohammad Shafiq and Prof Siraj Ahmad during their visit to the colleges were apprised of the problems being faced by the colleges’ staff.
It was stated that the students of chemistry, botany, physics and mathematics were facing difficulties due to the absence of teaching staff.
ANNUAL DAY: The convener of the district government of Dir lower, Mohammad Rasool Khan, has said that the importance of the education was increasing with each passing day and the government is trying its level best to establish standard educational institutions at the district level, where the people would be imparted quality education.
Speaking as a chief guest on the occasion of the annual day of the Global Educational Academy in Timergara, the convener hailed the efforts of the administration of the academy for keeping a standard of education in such a remote area, says a press release issued here on Tuesday.
The convener said the credit went to his district government that within a short span of time it established a university at Chakdara, where the students could also get education of information technology, etc.
The Nazim of All Pakistan Tanzim Asatiza and principal government high school Timergara Jehan Badshah also spoke on the occasion and emphasized upon imparting quality education and role of the academy.
He said the academy was a good omen for the progress of the area, especially in the field of education. Besides, elite of the area, the police officers and parents also attended the function.
