PAF clinch COAS Cup

RAWALPINDI, April 12: PAF won the COAS Polo Cup on Saturday defeating Peshawar Zone by 6-2 1/2 goals in Rawalpindi.

Sqd. Ldr Haider Ali scored four times and Snr. Tech Tauheed Ahmed put in two for the PAF while Capt Nauman Wasif was the lone scorer for Peshawar who had a handicap of 1-1/2.

In the Army Polo Championship, Rawalpindi, despite losing to Peshawar 3-5 won the title by virtue of better goal average.

For Peshawar, Col Mujhaid Umer collected two goals with Capt Umer Minhas, Naik Ahmed Khan and Brig Ulfat Hussain striking once each. Brig Sikander Ali banged in all three for Rawalpindi.

The Army Showjumping crown meanwhile was won by Mangla Zone.
