PESHAWAR, April 10: Provincial PML-Jinnah President Manzoorul Haque has termed Federal Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad’s statements on the Islamabad-New Delhi ties inflammatory and asked Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to visit India at the earliest to pave ways for friendly relations with the neighbouring country.

Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday at the Peshawar Press Club, Mr Qureshi said his party was against war with India.

He said Pakistan should sign a no-war agreement with India as both the countries had suffered a lot due to the wars of 1965 and 1971, and their effects could be seen on the poor of both the countries.

Speaking about Iraq and Afghanistan, the PML-Jinnah leader said that after what had happened in Afghanistan and what was going on in Iraq, the Islamic world should divert their attention towards reforms in the Muslim world.

He suggested that the Muslim world should jointly establish a bank, news agency, security force and use its resources to help strenthen the faithfuls.—PPI
