35 JUI workers sent to jail

KHAIRPUR, Oct 10: Some 35 activists of Jamiat Ulama-i-Islam (JUI) who were arrested from Pir jo Goth, Kumb and Hingorja were sent to Khairpur central jail after charge-sheet against them was presented.

They were arrested following a demonstration against the US attacks on Afghanistan.

HURT: Some ten passengers of a bus were injured on Tuesday night when a Mingora bound bus coming from Karachi overturned near Moro as its brakes failed.

The injured were taken to Kandiaro hospital where they were given first aid and discharged.

ROBBERY: Around five unidentified armed men robbed one Allah Dino Diskani of Rs2,000, a gold locket and a wrist watch near village Mohammad Hasil Kerio of taluka Thari Mirwah late Tuesday night.

DRIVERS ROBBED: Unknown armed men reportedly robbed drivers of their valuables at Kot Diji- Sorah road the other day. The drivers agitated by blocking the road for many hours. Meanwhile, the SHO has been suspended by the SSP.
