KARACHI, April 8: Four vessels carrying containers and general commodities are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Beauty River and Kota Wajar to unload and load containers, Shams and Marsus to load general cargo and Nav Star-3 to load naphtha were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Iwato, Marsus and Panos-G, while Botany Triton, Sorena, Mar Challenger and Beatury River are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 68,404 tons comprising 17,549 tons of export cargo and 50,855 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: APL Cairo, Bunga Masdua, Hyundai Future and Al-Ihsaa, to unload and load containers.

KARACHI, April 8: New Toyokaze carrying edible oil was allotted berth at Multipurpose Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Berth occupancy remained modest as four ships, Kymi, Thia Chryssoula, New Toyokaze and Fu Man were busy in loading/offloading wheat and coal, edible oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 29,157 tons comprising 26,131 tons of import cargo and 3,026 tons of export cargo was handled.

Two ships, Kymi and Fu Man were expected to sail out, while Contship Innovator and Chemstar Ace were due to take berths at Qasim International Container and Engro Vopak Terminal on Tuesday.
