Four drug pushers arrested

OKARA, Dec 4: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four drug pushers with 5.5kg opium in Deepalpur tehsil.

Acting on a tip-off, the team raided Nihal Maharkey village, Basirpur police station area, and arrested Rashid Ahmad, Gul Abbas Khan of Sadiqabad, Khizar Hayat and Mazhar Iqbal with 5.5kg opium.

EXPIRED: Grain Market trader and old Ravian Rana Muhammad Saleem Khan died of cardiac arrest here on Tuesday. He was 70.

He was buried in Ghorey Shah. People from all walks of life attended the funeral prayer.

His Qul will be held at 8:30am in Jamia Masjid, Grain Market, on Wednesday.
