The meeting was called on the directives of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat who had asked PFF's Operation Wing to evaluate the shortcomings of the previous editions and try to impose ways and means to make the coming showpiece event of PFF clear of any hurdles and discrepancies during 240 matches from 16 September to 14 December 2010.

PFF also got suggestions about the similarity of field of play in all 240 matches. As per FIFA regulations, during international matches, the length of varied from 100-110 meters (width 64-75 metres) and all lines must be of the same width.
