MANSEHRA, April 7: Federal Minister for Information and Media Development Shaikh Rashid Ahmad has said the plight of the occupied Kashmir’s people was no different from the ordeal the Serb Muslims went through.
“India has left no stone unturned in demonstrating its hostility towards the Kashmiri Muslims,” he said while speaking at a swearing-in ceremony of local press club’s new elected body.
He said the Indian aggressive designs were not concealed from the international community. India was piling up weapons of mass destruction and chemical and biological weapons, he said.
The Indians committed genocide of the Muslims and desecrated the Babri Mosque. They committed brutalities on Sikhs, torched the Churches and burnt alive the Christians, he maintained.
He warned Yashwant Sinha of grave consequences if India mounted any “misadventure” in the name of pre-emptive military action. “We shall ourself choose the targets for pre-emptive strikes,” he said.
He maintained that the LFO was part and parcel of the Constitution, however its provisions could be discussed in parliament.
He bitterly criticized the Jamaat-i-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad for repeated statements that Pakistan would be next target after Iraq.
Shaikh Rashid Ahmad announced a grant of Rs0.2 million for MPC and the welfare of the journalists.
