HYDERABAD, Dec 4: DIG police Hyderabad Range, Abdul Rauf Yusufzai has directed all the SDPOs and SHOs of Hyderabad district to ensure arrests of proclaimed offenders, absconders and those involved in heinous crimes. He said that he expected good results from the police force.
He said that police should not cause delay in recording the arrest of any criminals as soon as they are held.
Addressing a meeting of all the SHOs and SDPos of Hyderabad district here the other day, the newly-appointed DIG police said that snap checking should be conducted in a more organized way.
He asked policemen to give respect to the elected Nazims/ Naib Nazims and councillors and solve the problems brought to the notice of police by them and observe punctuality.
He said it had been observed that in countless cases police officers arrest criminals but do not bring their arrest on record which ultimately benefited them and they were released.
He urged police officers to be courteous and humane with the public, who approach them for the redressal of their grievances.
He expressed his dissatisfaction that concerted efforts were not being undertaken in ensuring the arrest of army deserters, criminals, absconders and proclaimed offenders. He said that it was necessary that each SDPO and SHO should concentrate on the network of informers.
He directed the SDPOs to guide their subordinate policemen, including SHOs, in order to bear good results. He asked the policemen not to cause inconvenience to women, children and older people during snap checking.
