Gulf ministerial meeting today

KUWAIT CITY, April 6: Kuwait has called for an extraordinary meeting on Monday of Gulf foreign ministers to discuss “regional developments and concerns,” the state KUNA news agency reported.

The emirate has delivered

the invitations and “preparations are underway” for the one-day meeting to be hosted by Kuwait, First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah told KUNA.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Abdul Rahman al-Attiya is expected to arrive in Kuwait later on Sunday, KUNA said, with GCC foreign ministers coming in throughout the evening and on Monday morning. —Reuters
