KARACHI, Dec 4: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday admitted for regular hearing petition of a grade 16 employee of the KWSB challenging his three-year conviction and confiscation of property and bank accounts by an Accountability Court.

The bench, comprising Justice Ghulam Nabi Soomro and Justice Ataur Rahman, also put the NAB prosecutor general on notice for Dec 13. The petition was filed by wife of the appellant, Syed Sadat Ali Shah, administrative officer of the KW&SB.

The appellant was awarded three years’ RI with a cash fine of Rs7.5 million by judge Rahmat Hussain Jafferi of the AC-III. The NAB had confiscated the appellant’s house and bank accounts of Rs4 million.
