PESHAWAR, Feb 8 The working committee member of Awami National Party, Gul Meena Bilal, said on Sunday that federal government agreed to name Peshawar International Airport after Bacha Khan.

In a press statement, she said that work was underway on residential plan for the internally displaced persons particularly womenfolk hailing from volatile Swat.

With the help of international donor agencies those people would be accommodated at Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila and at Wah Cantt areas, she added.

She said that the provincial assembly had already passed a resolution regarding re-naming of Peshawar airport as Bacha Khan airport.

She said that every possible attention was being paid to vibrate economic activities in the province as well as to create conducive environment for the same.

To help resolve the issue of energy crisis, several local and foreign companies working in power sector had been contacted, she added.
