BA, BSc exams begin tomorrow

LAHORE, April 1: More than 120,000 candidates will appear in BA/BSc annual examination 2003 beginning tomorrow (Thursday).

The Punjab University has set up 430 centres to conduct the examination. In order to ensure free, fair and transparent examinations, the university has set up a special monitoring cell in the office of the controller of examinations, equipped with deliberate communication network and transport.

The university examination branch has deputed a number of mobile teams to carry out spot checks in different zones of the entire examination area in its jurisdiction.

The university has authorized the superintendents of examination centres to get register an FIR, and call police for arrest of anyone involved in malpractice. Section 144 will be imposed around the examination centres.
