KARACHI, Dec 3: Sindh minister for religious affairs Mohammad Wali Razi has issued directives to the Auqaf department to conduct an immediate survey of all shrines so that data could be compiled on saints, mazars etc.

He was presiding a meeting of Auqaf Department at his office which was also attended by the secretary religious affairs, Fasihuddin Khan, the administrator of Auqaf, Qabool Ahmad Sheikh and the administrator of Auqaf Karachi.

Expressing his disgust over shortcomings of the Auqaf department regarding affairs of Aram Bagh Masjid Qasaban, he ordered the chief administrator of Auqaf to conduct a complete investigation into affairs of Masjid Qasaban and present before him a report in this regard.

He also sought a complete record of all mosques and mazars falling under the Auqaf Department.

During the course of the meeting, development work at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was also reviewed.

The minister directed the officials to ensure timely completion of the work.—APP
