KASUR, March 31: Unscheduled loadshedding has created problems for domestic consumers, shopkeepers and the business community.

The electric appliances of several consumers have gone out of order due to fluctuations in the power supply.

The consumers told Dawn that they were suffering due to the negligence of Lesco authorities as they did not serve them prior notices of power suspension.

Most of the shopkeepers are seen sitting outside their shops owing to the frequent power breakdowns. Owners of powerlooms, printing, sizing machines and tannery units are also suffering losses. Hundreds of tannery and powerloom workers, mostly daily wage earners, are the worst-sufferers.

The main affected areas are Niaz Nagar, Kot Haleem Khan, Naya Bazaar, Railway Road, Chandni Chowk, Bazaar Sarrafan, Khan Mahal Chowk, Kot Murad Khan, Basti Chiragh Shah, Sabri Basti, Dingipura, Androon Kot, Kot Maulvi Abdul Qadir and Rasoolpura.
