HYDERABAD, March 30: The Sindh works and services department will spend Rs65.95 million on development schemes during the current financial year.

This was said by the minister for works and services, Sindh, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, at a briefing about development schemes by the EDO, Habibur Rehman, at the circuit house here on Friday night.

The minister said the department should launch development schemes in social sector.

Dr Rahim said 111 ongoing schemes of sugar cess of the last year and 47 projects of the current year had been executed. He directed authorities concerned to complete development schemes within the stipulated period.

He told the meeting Rs82.5 million had been released under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme for development schemes on which work would soon be started.
