PPP meets on April 3

ISLAMABAD, March 29: A joint meeting of central executive committee and federal council of Pakistan People’s Party will be held on April 3 at 6pm. The venue of the meeting will be Noudero House, Larkana, says a party press release.

The press statement said that in the absence of Benazir Bhutto, chairperson of the PPP, Makhdoom Amin Fahim Vice Chairman PPP would preside over the meeting.

A Mushaira would also be held on the night of April 3 at the Mazar of late prime minister and founder chairman of the PPP Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Quran Khwani would take place from 8:00am onwards at the Mazar and a public meeting will be arranged there on this occasion, the press release said.

HOTI: Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto has issued directives that Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti will continue to work as the chief of provincial chapter of the PPP.

This was stated by a spokesman of the party in a statement issued on Saturday.

The spokesman said that Mr Hoti had resigned as the president of NWFP chapter of the party last week, but Ms Bhutto had declined to accept it.
