LAHORE, March 25: Four-year-old dark-bay colt Royal Class can claim feature event of the midweek Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse on Wednesday.

This colt from Knight Rider out-of-Bazicha had finished fourth in a strong company of sprinters on March 16 last. He has not raced since then.

The Bahawalnagar Plate for class VII division I handicap race to be contested over 1000m will be the fifth event of the day. It has nine runners, if there are no last-minute withdrawals. Besides Royal Class, Key Guy Princess and Prince Of Peace are the other speedy runners in this race.

The Bahawalnagar Plate class VII division II is the supporting event and fourth in racing order.

Five-year-old bay mare Royal Harban, who was beaten to second place by Glorious Song on March 5 last can make amends in this race by emerging on top.

Her closest rivals could be Iram State and Lot Of Thanks. Royal Harban’s stablemate, Al trui Princess can do the trick if Royal Harban is withdrawn or not sent on try-out.

A card of six events will be decided in the afternoon. All races are to be contested over the sprinting distance of 1000m

The first race will start at 1.30 pm.
