HYDERABAD, March 25: The people of Sindh should forge unity to secure rights and resources of the province, Jeay Sindh Mahaz (J) chief Abdul Khaliq Junejo said on Monday.
He speaking at a gathering organized by the Mahaz at the local press club to mark the death anniversary of Hoshu Shaheed, a hero of the Sindh war against the British colonialists.
Mr Junejo condemned the US-led attack on Iraq, saying that it was an attack on the independence and sovereignty of the state of Iraq.
Inam Shaikh, while stressing the need for research on heroes like Hoshu Shaheed, alleged that some writers were filling their coffers in the name of Sindh.
SNP: The Sindh National Party (B) also observed the death anniversary of Hoshu Shaheed at the Sindh National House in Qasimabad.
The party’s chairman, Amir Bhambhro, and its general secretary, Dilshad Bhutto, spoke on the occasion.
SNP-D DISSOLVED: The general council of the Sindh National Party (Dr Dodo Maheri group) has dissolved the party and unconditionally joined the Sindh National Council .
This was announced by the chairman of the defunct SNP, Dr Dodo Maheri, while speaking at a news conference at the local press club on Monday.
He criticized the establishment for exploiting Sindh’s resources and warned the rulers against the construction of the greater Thal canal.
