OKARA, Jan 31 The Punjab government has raised the annual licence renewal fee for all kinds of arms to Rs1,000.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Home Department on Jan 16, the annual licence renewal fee has been increased to Rs1,000 from Rs250 to Rs450 for all kinds of non-prohibited weapons. In the past, the late fee was Rs5, but now the Punjab government has increased it to Rs1,000.

The government has fixed the arms dealership licence fee at Rs100,000 and Rs50,000 for renewal of such licences. Similarly, the arms repairing licence fee has been fixed at 10,000 and Rs5,000 for its renewal.—Correspondent
