KARACHI, March 21: A delegation of the representatives of the private hospital and school owners met the Sindh governor on Friday to complain against the notices that have been served on them by the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA).

The notices have been served to ask the owners to get the status of the buildings of their respective institutions changed from residential to commercial.

The KBCA, the governor was told, was demanding Rs4,000 per square yard of the piece of land on which these buildings stood, to regularize these buildings, which, the owners claimed, was too high a rate.

The delegation urged the governor to ask the KBCA to cut the fee demanded. The governor promised to look into the matter.
