KARACHI, March 18: Four ships carrying crude oil, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow owing to delayed arrivals and as a result, only three ships were berthed: They are: Kota Wijaya, Sima Bahar to unload and load containers and Spring Virgo to offload palm oil.

Three ships, Bunga Masdua, Iwato and Kota Wijaya departed, while Challenger Express, Honor River, Sima Bahar, Stolt Vinland, Spring Virgo and Sibi are expected to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves showed a modest expansion at 66,892 tons comprising 20,949 tons of export tonnage including 3,412 tons of rice and 5,636 tons of liquid cargo and 45,943 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Naga, with 69,000 tons of crude oil, PONL Malindi, Hyundai Sprinter, with containers and Regine, with general cargo.
