Horse and cattle show

FAISALABAD, March 16: Fairs and festivals play an important role in promoting rural culture in addition to providing recreational and business opportunities to the masses.

This was stated by Saddar Tehsil Municipal Administration Nazim Mohammed Afzal while inaugurating the annual horse and cattle show here on Sunday.

He said agriculture was the backbone of economy, and dissemination of the latest techniques to farmers through such fairs was a must to increase per acre yield. Farming is a very tough profession which lacks recreation. Such functions not only provide healthy recreation, but also motivate farmers to increase their income by increasing production.—APP
