FAISALABAD, March 16: Punjab Assembly deputy opposition leader Rana Sanaullha Khan was shifted to his house here on Sunday from the District Headquarters Hospital.
The PML-N MPA was picked up on March 8 allegedly by a team of an intelligence agency and was subjected to physical torture.
Talking to this correspondent here on Sunday, Sanaullah vowed to “continue raising his voice for the restoration of true democracy and exposing misdeeds of the government and its real masters.”
He said he would attend the March 21 session of the provincial assembly and would take part in the debate over his kidnapping and torture.
Meanwhile, the District Bar Association, Faisalabad in its general house meeting, has threatened to launch a protest campaign in case police failed to present the challan of the Sanaullah case within 10 days after the registration of case under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.
MMA rally: The Mutahidda Majlis-i-Amal has finalized arrangements for staging a rally-cum-demonstration on Monday against the impending US attack on Iraq.
According to local MMA leaders, the rally will start from Dhobi Ghat Grounds and reach Clock Tower Intersection after marching different city roads.
