Sacked ASIs demand reinstatement

Published March 16, 2003

LARKANA, March 15: Around twenty dismissed police ASIs, protesting against their dismissal, held a demonstration outside the district council hall here on Saturday when the council was in session.

Carrying placards, they were raising slogans against their dismissal.

They told journalists that in 1995 around 350 persons were recruited as ASIs but 250 of them were sacked by the Nawaz Sharif government.

They demanded of the government to reinstate them in service.
