HYDERABAD, March 12: The rangers personnel were deployed in sensitive areas here on Wednesday to ensure security during Ashura processions.
The rangers have set up pickets on the rooftops of buildings and are also patrolling on different routes.
The city police have also made security arrangements and have prepared a route plan which will be implemented on Friday.
The main road from Qadamgah Maula Ali to Karbala Dadan Shah will remain closed on Ashura and the traffic coming from the Tilak incline will be diverted towards the Khai Road.
The route to enter the cantonment area will be opened from the Qasim Chowk.
The police have set up control rooms at offices of the DPO and the TPO.
SHC: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Wednesday directed the Bhittai Naggar police to unseal a wine shop as it was operating with a license.
The order was passed on a constitutional petition, filed by the owner of the Fine Wine Shop.
UPLIFT SCHEMES: District officers have been directed to keep in close contact with the public representatives to ensure the execution of the development schemes in accordance with the expectations of the people.
This was stated by the DCO, Hyderabad, Mukhtar Aziz, while presiding over a meeting here on Wednesday.
Mr Aziz, while urging the officials to make the district government system a success, warned them against laxity, saying that negligence, dishonesty and irregularity would not be tolerated.
The DCO directed the revenue department officials to collect taxes in accordance with the government’s schedule.
