SIALKOT, March 10: Gas consumers here protested on Monday against the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) for issuing inflated bills.

A number of consumers told this scribe that they received four-times more bill than they used to.

One of the consumers said his monthly bill was Rs300 while this time he received Rs1,200 bill.

The protesting consumes said when they contacted the SNGPL authorities for the correction of their bills, they refused to oblige them.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Residents of Toba Tek Singh also received inflated bills for the month of February.

A consumer complained that he received Rs1,000 bill while usually his monthly bill was Rs200.

They urged the federal petroleum minister to order an inquiry and take to task the officials responsible.
