28 sugar mills offer accepted

KARACHI, March 10: Tender Evaluation Committee of Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) on Monday accepted offer of Rs19,200 per ton given by 28 sugar mills being lowest one for purchase 25,000 tons of sugar. The tender was opened on Friday, March 7.

Thirty-five sugar mills (18 from Sindh and 17 from Punjab) participated in the bid, of which 28 sugar mills (16 from Punjab and 12 from Sindh) quoted price of Rs19,200 each, (inclusive of sales tax). Whereas 6 mills quoted price of Rs19,320 and one gave price Rs19,250 per ton.—PPI
