KARACHI, March 9: 104 vehicles — 40 cars and 64 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city in the last one week, the police said.

Eighteen cars were hijacked. Twenty-two others were stolen.

Fifteen motorcycles were hijacked. Forty-nine others were stolen.

On an average 15 vehicles a day were hijacked/stolen in the past week.

52 vehicles — 27 cars and 25 motorcycles — were recovered in the week, March 2-9.

The police claimed to have recovered 27 cars out of the 40 hijacked/stolen cars and 25 motorcycles out of the 64.
