13 bandits arrested in raid

THATTA, March 8: The police arrested 13 bandits in a raid in a village near the Takani bus stop, Mirpur Sakro taluka, here on Saturday.

Those arrested included Kamal Faqir Shaikh, Dr Salahuddin Shaikh, Manzoor Shaikh, Allah Bux Shaikh, Hussain, Liaquat Kehar, Inayat Shaikh, Jurial Shaikh, Qurban, Asadullah Shaikh and Babu.

Speaking at a press conference at the Thatta press club, DPO Nadir Hussain Khoso said the arrested bandits were involved in 56 cases, including killing of six policemen, kidnapping of six Japanese tourists and hijacking of a bus carrying 66, registered at various police stations.—BoC
