LARKANA, March 8: The DCO here on Friday ordered an inquiry into alleged allotment of peasants’ land to the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) by revenue officials in Kambar taluka.

The DCO, Noor Ali Khan, ordered the inquiry during his visit to development schemes being carried out under the Drought Emergency Relief Assistance programme in Gaibidero.

The peasants, possessing allotment orders, had approached the Sindh minister for revenue who had asked the DCO for initiating an inquiry into the matter.

They were allotted the land under the prime minister’s programme of land for landless peasants.

The PPL is using this land for lying a gas pipeline from Mazarani field, Gaibidero, to Larkana and has almost completed the work.
