KARACHI, March 7: Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Thursday night visited Imambargahs in various areas of Orangi Township, met their managements and talked about their difficulties and problems during Muharram days.

He directed that problems of Imambargahs be immediately solved in view of the sanctity of Muharram-ul-Haram.

He said during this sacred month, the condition of sanitation around Imambargahs and provision of water to mourners of processions passing through specified routes be ensured.

On complaints of area people, the City Nazim asked the Nazim Orangi Town to arrange patch-work of major and important roads of the township. He said the money for this purpose would be provided by the city government.

He directed the Town Municipal Officer to replace the defective and fused bulbs of street-lights.

Regarding water shortage, Naimatullah directed the DO water supply and sewerage, to ensure water supplies in deficit areas.

In view of water shortage, the Nazim asked the Rangers to increase the number of water tankers to Imambargahs so that mourners may not face any problem.

During his visit to Irani camp, the area people complained that cattle pond owners had obtained one inch dia water connections.

The Nazim directed the DO Water Supply and Sewerage to disconnect illegal connections and a report be submitted to him.

He asked the KESC authorities not to carry out loadshedding during Muharram.

The Nazim visited Markazi Imambargah Orangi No 5, Imambargah Abidia Panjtan Hussainian, Habib Trust Bargah, Irani Camp Al-Abbas and Imambargah Masoomeen.—APP
