Atif pulls Strings

Published September 27, 2009

Here's something that sounds pretty interesting. Pop band Strings and singer Atif Aslam have joined hands to churn out a song. It's an issue-based number targeting the youth of the country. Composed by Bilal Maqsood and sung by Atif and Strings' Faisal Kapadia, the song will be released in a month's time.

Bilal Maqsood says, “We had met Atif three of four times and discussed the prospects of collaboration. The meetings led me to make a composition and I told Atif about it. He came down to Karachi from Lahore to listen to it. He took a shine to the tune and gave his valuable input. As a result we have a song ready whose title I wouldn't like to give away right now. All I can tell you is that Ahsan Rahim will be directing its video.”

Strings have always been known for their 'different' music, and Atif is renowned for his 'distinct' voice. Methinks their collaborative work might result in something differently distinctive or distinctively different.
