KARACHI, March 6: Special security measures have been adopted for City Nazim Naimatullah Khan.

About 40 personnel of the Rangers have been provided to the city government who are stationed around its head office situated in the Civic Centre at Gulshan-i-Iqbal, and two Rangers’ mobiles have been provided for personal security of the Nazim.

According to an official of the city government, these measures have been taken upon insistence of senior police officers who told the Nazim that foreign-based terrorists had been arrested who were planning to attack senior political figures in Karachi.—PPI
