LAHORE, March 5: The 69th Punjab Games organizers on Wednesday failed to provide official results as several associations did not bother to send the results to the media centre.

The swimming association, despite many reminders, did not release the results of the women events, while the athletics association also failed to send the women’s results of various events.

Some associations, including squash, kabaddi, hockey and weightlifting, sent incomplete results to the media centre.

The organizers also failed to complete the final points table.

The convener of the tabulation committee, Abdul Qadeer, said several results had still not been received.

The secretary of the organising committee Idrees Haider Khawaja said some the associations had failed to send the results despite his instructions to provide the results promptly to the media centre.

Meanwhile, all the participating contingents were paid their daily allowance on Wednesday instead of first day (Monday).

Idrees said the delay was caused due to documentation, the procedure adopted for the first time according to the new systems of the Games held under devolution plan.
