SHO fined

KHAIRPUR, Nov 29: The SHO, Bardai Jatoi police station, Kingri District, Baz Khan, was fined Rs25,000 in an out-of-court settlement the other day for arresting four villagers.

The SHO raided Sono Jalbani village and arrested four people — Dhani Bux, Ali Murad, Nooruddin, and Khuda Bux Lashari — on June 23 who were chargesheeted.

The arrested persons went to the court and complained against the SHO.

The latter immediately approached the influential people of the locality and insisted that the dispute be settled privately.

A meeting was held the other day, Baz Khan was found guilty and fined Rs25,000.—Correspondent
