Rs127m for development projects

OKARA, Nov 29: The district government has approved a sum of Rs127 million for 91 development projects under the Khushal Pakistan Programme.

This was stated in a press note issued by district coordinating officer Khalid Masud Chaudhry and district Nazim Syed Sajjad Haider in a meeting here on Thursday.

They said during the current session, some 38 schemes of public health, 29 projects of education department and 24 of various roads, would be completed.

District officer planning Muhammad Awais told the participants that 77 projects had so far been completed under the annual development programme while 27 previous schemes would be completed till Dec this year.

LOOTED: Dacoits on Thursday took away Rs200,000 in cash and 50 tolas of gold ornaments from flour mill owner’s house in Fateh Town.

Three dacoits reportedly barged into Rana Wasim Ahmad’s house, held up the inmates and escaped with cash and jewellery.

SSP Capt Muhammad Amin (retired) has started investigation.
