Tariq Aziz grieved

LAHORE, March 4: Former principal secretary to the president and National Security Council member Tariq Aziz’s father, Chaudhry Aziz Ahmad Warriach, died here on Tuesday.

Funeral prayers were attended, among others, by Governor Khalid Maqbool, Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, Lahore Corps Commander Lt-Gen Zarrar Azim, judges of the Lahore High Court, ministers, Shaukat Aziz, Manzoor Wattoo, and retired and serving government officials.

Mr Warriach, a former district and sessions judge, was laid to rest in a local graveyard.

Qul will be held at 3pm at Nisar Colony Jamia Mosque’s adjacent ground in Lahore Cantt on March 6. — Staff Reporter
